I can not for the life of me get the darn PSi based direct boost control functioning in a 96531706 (SD + Tephra mods) '05 with a Perrin 3-port EBC.

All the entries in ECUFlash needed for PSi based system are correct based on the notes in the drop down menu in ECUFlash (I've checked them about a 100 times by now). Still getting no response boost wise with WGDC changes. I've tried as low as 30 up to 100 but, still nothing. Boost peaks at about 22.8 to 23 regardless of what is in the WGDC tables.

I have zero'd out the boost adder tables as suggested by Mr Fred in his direct boost control thread for initially dialing in the boost.

Anyone else having issues with this 96531706?

I'm also having issues with EvoScan logging boost error and WGDC.
I bagged the 9653 roms. I would get past one problem then on to another. Why not try 94170715 V7? If you are putting it on an 03-04 it might work. I have run the 94170715 so far with no issues...so far.
The only thing I can;t get to work is the rpm/speed MUT that Tephra added. I can calculate that on my own anyway.

Swap in another 3 port?

I have also ran 9417 on an 05 without problems.

I don't know if this has been covered and I will keep searching. I just got tuned on a Gruppe-S Solenoid and I have flutter-like throttle above 3K RPM if I am cruising 15-30% throttle. If I am neither accelerating or decelerating I get the flutter-like throttle sensation and sound. We didn't catch it during the Dyno Tune.

As soon as I get to accelerating or take off to the point of decelerating it's not an issue. Also not an issue under 2800RPM.

Any ideas?

Interesting. I'd like to clear something up though, what do you mean by throttle fluttering? Do you mean you hear the BOV flutter, or is the engine giving you a sort of pull then lag?

I think it is BOV flutter actually. Although it is different then what I experienced when I previously thought I had BOV flutter. The car slightly pulls then lags back and forth but not enough to buck the car, just enough to feel it but not more then that. And you can hear a difference. My tuner says it might be my injectors. 1450cc on 91oct and its at like 45% capacity. Some other tuner recommended them as I was gonna go E85 on my BBK but still way too big.

I've never heard of that. I've tuned a car that had about the same injector duty cycle (from 35 - 50% IDC) and it didn't give me any flutter. Anyway, what does the boost pressure look like while in cruise?

The plug looks completely different to the one I received and my solenoid doesn't have the "Delco Remy" on the side, although the rest of the solenoid appears to be the same.

yes thank you I just try to set the boost 22psi with similiar numbers as in the Merlin ecuflash tuning guide for Evo 9 turbo, no boost pill 22psi flat but I got 1,1 bar jumpy boost, feel like how the boost control working .

Here is my boost settings :

I logged one today, and seems like the ecu doesnt follow my boost desired engine psi Low and jumpy boost + a lot of error correction . What did I enter wrong in my Boost desired psi and boost adder psi table ?! When I try to use the Boost desired engine load and boost adder ( load ) everything is working. The only problem with that I'm using the 94170715 (v7 + Mods Omni 4 Bar MAP) rom and everything is set to psi based boost control ?!
Anyway If I enter 140.6 in the load table in the PSI table can see 38.6 ?! :O
In the boost adder load enter 120 in the boost adder psi can see 22.7 ?!

Well if you setup for psi based boost, you dont use the load based tables, only the PSI based one.

Also boost seems low and jumpy cuz your WGDC seems too low. Read the second boost in this thread to help you properly setup ECU boost.

Hello,

yes ofcourse i tried to set only my psi based only but no reaction low and jumpy boost because the lot of error correction. Than I dont have any idea just try to set up the load base also using the same wastegate duty settings and seems like everything is working. just I dont understand why not follow my psi base settings

I logged one today . the boost desired psi was set to 22psi the boost adder psi 14.7 reasonable wgdc values. I have no boost only 17psi jumpy seems like to ecu see higher numbers via the Omni 4bar as it is real because the log show a lot of load error and boost error correction. Just I dont know why ?!

Maybe my Omni bar map scaling is bad ?! I will post a picture about it :

What does Airflow calcs mean in the tephra options it is enable for me. ?!

Any idea ? At normaly the psi boost adder at near sea level shoud be set to 14.7 ?

How does psi boost control work ? from the Omni power map sensor manipulating the load base control ?

Ok, I change to 9653 rom and now using load base boost control. I can set my boost where I would like now. The only problem I'm logging always and constantly 19.5 load error and 63.5 wgdcc ?! my boost desired load is 240 and my log load is 240 too !
