Did a few logs tonight...

Well i decided to go out and do a few logs.. I'm getting a little knock and would like to know what people think? I couldn't seem to get the wideband to connect to the laptop...

Ok this afternoon i finally got the wideband to log so i could only get one pull off so tell me what you guys think.

22 psi, 3rd gear

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok went out tonight and did a couple more logs just to back up the other logs... It's real weird cause now i'm getting very very little knock..

1st log is 3rd gear 22psi, 2nd log is 1-3 just messing around 22psi

How much boost?
See if you can get the wideband to connect as that is really needed to diagnose these logs.

The timing might be a tad bit high in the spool up and mid range area's.

I would not worry about it at all.

A knock count of 3 (found in the second log) justifies, in my opinion, some work on the tune. The ECU is certainly pulling timing at this point. It's difficult to say exactly what needs to be done without knowing the AFR and boost, though. There could very well be many areas for improvement, but you've spotted one in particular in the second log.

If you are using a serial to usb converter cable. that may be your problem with the wideband. I got one at RadioShack that works.

a little too much timing at 4500 and a little too lean at 6500 to redline, I like more fuel and timing there.

Tune looks fine outside of a few tenths richer at upper rpms.

Nothing wrong with the ignition timing.

I don't tolerate mid range knock at all and you're already slightly rich at a 10.9 AFR, so if you don't want to lower boost then you're going to have to adjust the timing where it knocks.

If you're going to use that car for anything other than an occasional 3rd gear pull you're going to get more and more knock as the engine temps rise.

You're always better off pulling the timing instead of letting the ECU do it for you and it going overboard which can make the car very inconsistent.

Small knocksums at peak torque evidences that your tune is optimized in that area. The 1's and 2's are perfect in their current form.

The knock count of 3 then rapid decay doesnt always support actual knock. If it were knock the value would have stayed the same or increased. It was probably intermittent noise and the car was already interpolating another knock filter.

Cliffs- I am with TTP on that one

I would back the fuel out, I have seen as much as a 20% load increase taking .3 AFR out (going from 11.2 to 11.5) and at 10.9 while safe its not making the best power it could.
