Very few, not available for every rom yet. Just 2 that I know of. Patch needs to be ported to other roms.

I have no dyno results yet. I've been too busy with other projects at the shop that I tune at to be able to do my own car.

For now, WOT is pretty good, I am having some cold start leanness and some throttle tip-in issues every now and then. When I get some free time, I am going to load tune the car on the dyno and work out the low load issues.

mixmastermatt - I have a IX with V15 rom, and a JDM map sensor.

Is there any testing I can do to help out?

I wish the intake manifold was not such a pain to take out, I would easily install a GM IAT, o well I might just do it anyway, speed density would be kick a**.

Matt, can you provide details on the GM IAT ?

Part number?
Other parts needed?
Wiring diagram?

Thanks!

You'll need a sensor, pigtail and 3/8npt tap.

The sensor gets wired between pins 49 and 62, polarity does not matter.

Would the 1k Ohm resistor go between pins 49 and 51?

Do you think you have the calibration tables worked out well enough that the car should not be difficult to tune. I know you said your WOT tune is going well. What about part throttle and around town driving?

I'm about ready to buy that sensor and make the switch, I'm just concerned about tuning for drive ability.

I think the resistor goes between 42 and 51, but I will double check.

I am still doing a lot of testing and trying to make my maps easier to use (right now all my maps in WOT are in the low 8's and high 7's)

I get a slight lean hesitation during throttle tip in sometimes, but I haven't touched the accell. enrichment yet.

Hmm, sounds like there is still some more work to go as far as getting the compensation tables dialed in.

I already have a JDM map, and the IAT sensor is so cheap I think i'll just get one and give this whole thing a try. I'm just gonna make sure to install the sensor and resistor with plug and play connectors so I can switch back to a MAF if I need to. I'll also try not to set mine on fire just in case I need it again, lol.

mind sharing your fuel map as well so I have a starting point.

Also, do I need to put the IAT sensor in the IM? I do have a meth kit, so I guess it has to go after the meth jets which are in the UICP.

The IAT is supposed to go near the MAP sensor. Also, the USDM intake manifolds have a bung right next to the MDP sensor that is perfect for drilling and tapping for the IAT sensor.

IAT should go pre meth nozzle and not in the intake manifold.

hmm, but wont the meth cool the intake charge A LOT and effect the reading of the MAP if the IAT sensor is before the meth?

Either way, you'll end up adjusting the temp comp tables to make it run the way you want. I put it in the IM because there was a perfect spot for it and I didn't want to worry about mounting it in the IC piping.

I have done some more research and like you said it does not seem to matter all that much where you place the sensor as you can adjust the tune to compensate. With that said I am going to place the IAT sensor before the meth nozzles so that the spray of meth does not affect the accuracy of the sensor.

I will just place the IAT sensor in the UICP before the jets, which will be a lot easier than the IM anyway.

You don't want the meth cooling off the AIT sensor.
