No MAF? No problem!
The stock is not a 3 BAR, it is a 1 BAR. The JDM MAP is the 3 BAR sensor. The stock USDM sensor can only read vacuum up to about 2 PSIG, while the JDM can read up to just over 30 PSIG.
so all 9s? or just yours? how do you tell or did you get your car used from a savvy previous owner. sorry if i'm thoroughly confused as to how you managed to get the jdm and how many people out there might be replacing their sensors when they don't need to...

All the USDM cars have 1 bar sensors. Its easy to verify by looking at the ROM code. Also easy to verify by logging data with it. The AU, NZ, and EDM cars do not have a MAP sensor.

He lives in Saudi Arabia, so he has a JDM evo. Therefore, he doesn't need to replace the sensor.
I'm sorry trinydex, I should have said that I do live in Saudi Arabia and our cars are called as per the dealer "General Export cars" ... not MR or RS ... It comes with:
1) Blistin shocks
2) BBS wheels
3) NO recaro seats
4) Brembo brakes
5) 5sp
6) ABS
7) ACD
And then we have the GSR which comes with all of the above, plus
1) Recaro leather seats
2) AYC
3) 6sp

I wish it were so simple. Here's the abridged version:
1. Obtain and install JDM MAP sensor
2. Obtain GM IAT sensor.
3. Remove intake manifold and drill out a bung for the IAT sensor (right next to the MAP sensor) then reinstall IM
4. Install IAT sensor and wire in place of the stock IAT sensor from the MAF sensor
5. Use 1k Ohm resistor in place of BARO sensor
6. Copy all of your current maps into the patched ECU image
7. Spend 500 hrs fine tuning the VE and fuel tables
The bold part is misleading I wish it were that easy but unfortunately its only available for the evo 9 as far as copy and paste. For my rom since I dont know how to patch it I have to wait until someone proficient can patch or unless Bez gives a step by step guide on patching the rom.
Just ordered a rev hard manifold and a pte 6031re too dam
