I was trying to. You sure you gave me the right number?

What I speculat happened is that the ECU's ROM got wiped, I dont think the flash was the root cause. I think the internal memory capacitor/battery died and it cleared everything off the ECU. I think that is why you were not able to put the stock flash back on with your software.

I have ran into this before (once a few years back) and we ended up putting in a new ECU. (customers expense) I know that used ECUs go for about 200 or so.

One last thing you could try is to send it back to your flash tuner (if you mailed it to him) and see if he could get it to work.

Sorry we couldnt be more help.

Yup, that was my number. The thing I don't understand is that when I did flash it, the message on the computer screen said it was succesful. I'm gonna check a few places for a used ecu before I try and take it to the dealer. So I'm guessing I wouldn't be able to just bring the ecu to the dealer, huh? I should get an EMS and be done.

EMS would be a great thing. It is kinda pricey tho if your mod's dont require it. No you cant just take the ECU to the dealer, they need to be able to connect to it thru the OBD2 port

I went to the dealer this morning and they gave me the same bull. They tried to tell me because I am the second owner, it wouldn't be covered. I then talked to the manager and got a different story from him. Then they can't even tell me how much it would cost to fix. So basically it comes down to this, I pay to have it towed to Mitsubishi to see if they will cover it, or just buy a used ecu. I think it would be easier just to buy a used one.

Luckily no one had an ecu on hand. Somehow, my flash was switched with an 05. No idea how it happened,(i'm not blaming the guy who sent me the flash) but my car is up and running again. I'm exhausted. Worked on it late last night and early this morning. Thanks again for your help guys, I really appreciate the effort.
