Evoscan does not record all of my log

Evoscan is acting really strange. I did two 2nd gear pulls this morning and the sample jumps from 2k to 6k with nothing in the middle!

I understand that the RPM should look like a linear progression (which is what is shown in the graph), but when looking at the values, it just goes from 2k to 6k with no samples in between! I"m not smapling anything other than what is needed to tune it, but for some reason i've bene getting very quirky results from evoscan. Any suggestions?

It almost looks liek Evoscan stops sampling for about 4 seconds during my pull, then extrapolates the values for each parameter thats' being logged (ie the linear progression in places that should be flat). Any Ideas why?

Your computer might have a HD protection mechanism that parks the heads when a large change in acceleration is detected.

Yep. The IBM/Lenovo Thinkpads are notorious for this. Be sure that you disable any sort of shock protection or hard drive utility while you're logging.

I didn't think that it logged to static memory in real time. I always thought that it wrote to dynamic memory then got stored to the HD. I guess that explains it.

Thanks
