After I rebooted the pop up went away, works fine. I don't know about the bugs since I just replace the evo rommetadata with the ones I use every time I update.

I am still using version 129a. I do not want to deal with all the endian crap. I am also concerned that the patches will not work since mrfred used 129a when designing the patches.

c'mon man! the patches have nothing to do with the ECUFlash program.

edit:my bad! mrfred's patches could be affected by endian-ness. can someone find the posts where they talk about endian bugs? i don't understand how newer versions affect endian-ness. why is it even an issue? is endian-ness defined in the XML definitions? and if so, how would/did new versions change this?

Dex, i guess the older versions of ECUflash would flip the endian so the newer versions 1.31 and later fixed the problem but also made some definition changes. A lot of the changes are just changing the endian = big versus 1.30 and earlier having endian = little but for some reason not everything works. Direct boost control for instance does not work no matter what you do to the definitions. I tried for a few hours but i couldnt get it to work.

Everyone really got too antsy about those endian changes...with enough time and skill you can make any of those patches work for any version. I know mrfred's 2nd last set of boost patches (the WGDC interval one etc.) works fine with 1.31.

That being said just from reading the update there didn't seem to be any reason for me to move from 1.31 as yet either.

^^^ I somewhat agree. I WAS using 1.31 and got every mod to work except the direct boost control. I spent a good amount of time trying to get it to work and couldn't. I moved to 1.29a and havent had any issues and i dont have to make anything work, just copy and paste.

Does 1.31 has any of the endian issues? I never tried it. I tried 1.30 and I could not get communication with my ECU.

Does the fine tuning of boost (not direct boost control) work with 1.31?

I do not care about direct boost control. It does not work with the pill anyway. Just tell me if you had to deal with any endian issue with version 1.31. If all the other patches work, then I will update.
