question about my tune

hey so i got tuned by ivey a while ago.
i'm not sure what boost he set me at on the dyno but he told me to turn the boost on my hallman MBC down a bit cause the load on the street is different than the load on the dyno. When i first brought it out on the street the boost spiked to 24 psi.. thinking this was way too high i turned it down to 21 psi.

does this affect my tune in any way? would it affect my air fuel ratios? i'm not exactly sure what my air fuel ratio on the dyno i would have to check the map.

im really new to this whole tuning thing so i'm not sure..
thanks for your time.

you need to set it so you hit the same boost on the street as you were tuned for on the dyno

what if i dont know what boost i was set for on the dyno? can we improvise and assume that on a dyno jet it would be around 21-22 and off the dyno it had spiked to around 24?

so just a little rich?.. not enough to affect my car in a negative way. cause in my opinion 24 psi stock turbo is too much on 93 octane even if i was tuned for it. any other opinions on what i should do?

If you turned it down to 21 you should be fine. Get evo scan and log it.

check out www.mellontuning.com I have links and a video that discusses the equipment you need to check on your tune.

I still don't think the question has been answered. If tuned for 23-24 and you turn it down to 21-22, what would happen to the tune. Run rich?
With winter here, do you need to re-tune for the winter and tune again for summer?

Everything else being equal changing the boost shouldnt make the car go rich. The car has to pass through 21psi at some point (and the corresponding load cell) to get to 22 or 24 or 45 and will be tuned. Ambient air temp can affect AFR's but not extremely drastically. Air density goes up as temp goes down so it will affect the tune. Does it require a retune? No not really unless the car was on the ragged edge or something (highly unlikely).

With colder temp. boost will rise. Tune during the summer at 21psi and you can see a spike of 23psi depending on temp. BTW, how would you know, your the one asking the question to begine with.
