Which open air filter is that? This is some really good data.

This thread inspired me to post my own results for comparison. Mods are listed in the graph.

Interesting isn't it?

Maf must be changing HZ up top as it doesn't make sense to me that the car needs more fuel up top but the airflow is the same. However we must remember this is read at the MAF so there might be a huge fudge factor here.

All the charts in this thread from me are on a Mustang Dyno, 3rd gear.

Greatly appriciate it man. Last question for you. How are you going into excel and setting a secondary Y axis? Mine is greyed out and cant seem to find away to put something in the secondary one. Sorry for going OT a little bit. we can take this to PMs if you like to

Once you start changing stuff near the MAF (like the filter), the MAF's calibration curve goes wacky and you can't trust that it's producing an accurate Hz number. I'd take those airflow (Hz) numbers with a grain of salt in that case.

Cool stuff though.

Yea I figured as much, which is what makes the data interesting. Don't always trust the data. The numbers usually don't lie though.

right click on the data you want on the secondary axis and select format data series...

Exactly, I'm sure we all understand that the MAF reading has been altered, but the car put down more torque and power as well as used more fuel. This makes it pretty clear that it also used more oxygen despite the MAF's reading (unless the AFR changed of course). It would really be interesting to see the associated dyno charts, but it looks like more fuel was needed after about 5500 RPM and I assume it made more power there.

Good stuff.

Here are the 315 and 338 curves overlayed:

I should have been more clear. I was looking at the last two runs, both with cams. Still, looking back at the IDC lines for the two you've posted you can see that where it used more fuel it made more power. (No duh, right? )
