Which WB?
Which WB?
I have an AEM UEGO but can put that in another car. I was reading how we'd have to make our own serial cables. I can do that, no problem, I used to make cables. But I don't need that hassle either.
I want good logging and I want to include the AFRs. But a lot of laptops don't have serial cables anymore, either. Which WB(s) are good and can be integrated into EvoScan/ECUFlash easily with a laptop? How do they work? Serial may not be an option for me.
Thanks!

Read Numbers 1 - 5 in the first post.... I think they should answer your question.

Thanks, but that doesn't really get at the crux of the question I was trying to ask.
Do I have to make a cable for any WB I purchase? Are they only serial communications-based? For instance, what's the Innovate use to hook into the computer? How about other WBs?
Thanks.

I have the serial->USB device above with no problems. Serial port cost me something like $2 and now I have AFR from my AEM UEGO through USB. No problem and sounds like the cheapest route if you already have an AEM WB.

I have an Innovate LC-1, and it works great. It needs a serial port, but Innovate sells a USB to serial port, since apparently, they are not ALL compatible with the LC-1.
I suggest getting a USB to serial adapter, and trying out your AEM, if that doesn't work out for you, then look into another wideband...

The Dynex serial to USB cable from Best Buy works perfect. Be sure to install the driver that comes on the CD sandwiched in the packaging though. If you dont look for the disk in the package, it's easy to throw out.
