ok so i connected my car to tactrix cable and read the rom and saved it and backed it up.

however when i try to see info from me roms nothing comes up ...just the rom info?

does this mean my ECU is lcoked?

wtf do i do from here? damn this ECU!

Post a screen shot of what you see. If the ECU was locked you wouldn't have been able to get the rom out.

 

You probably don't have the correct definitions (xml) for your romid.

Look up the number next to "Internal ID" in your rom info, and search for it with .xml either here, on the openecu.org forums or on the aktivematrix.com forums or download section.

My romid is 88840016, so i should be looking for the file named 88840016.xml

When you find that file, save it in: C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo or whatever directory you have your xml files.

 

Not trying to be funny with you, but you've ask the same question several times and been pointed to some answers, in one of your other threads jcsbanks pointed you to the deffinition file for a JDM ROM, did you get that? Did you read the threads you were pointed to?

one weird thing I bought this car second hand and it is a JDM 2006 EVO IX, but the Rom info says its a USDM ECU, so I think this ecu was bought for the car by the previous owner or tuned for the previous owner.
