Brian Crower 280s and Mivec Map

Check the AMS Cam Test Thread... the BCs are known for having to much variance and are needed to be adjusted to get them right.

So, the MIVEC map and the EX cam gear settings may differ from one set of cams to another.

BTW, retarding the EX gav me more TQ and better Top End based on DLL data.

does evoscan and mitsulogger read load differently? Thats what I have heard from a certain Dr.

How much difference in torque and top end did you see?

Did you actually degree the cams into the motor?

What were your results? Or did you just adjust and log?

I would like to compare results and discuss them with Brian at some point. Maybe if enough people let him know the problems, there might be a fix from them.

I never got to get the BC280s to the dyno. But, I think that TQ was about the same but later on RPM and better top end on 4th gear. Mine is an MR! That is based on DLL logs.

Yes! I degreed the EX cam on the car.

It was a matter of trial and error. Different settings netted different results. On certain degree the car lost some top end but it was very responsive on low and mid range.
