If that doesnt work, turn the valet mode stuff on, and try to deactivate it. Also make sure your init code (cant exactly remember if it causes an issue or not) and immobilizer is copied over. Im not sure if the latter 2 will do anything, but I guess it isnt bad practice.
Thanks alot, will try it tomorrow and let you know.

ok - can someone try something for me.

For 96940011 -> 96530006 users ONLY

Add the following definition to your XML (for both 96940011 and 96530006) and then copy the table in 96940011 to 96530006.

Code:
	<table name="ECU Periphery7 Hex" category="Periphery" address="ffa" type="2D" level="2" scaling="Hex16">
		<table name="Y" type="Static Y Axis" elements="8">
			<data>0xffa</data>
			<data>0xffc</data>
			<data>0xffe</data>
			<data>0x1000</data>
			<data>0x1002</data>
			<data>0x1004</data>
			<data>0x1006</data>
			<data>0x1008</data>
		</table>
	</table>
Then re-enable your immobilizer and try and see if the car starts.

If the immobilizer still doesn't work then DONT do anything else just flash back to the old ROM.

If it does work let me know and then just be careful with the car - I don't know what the above definition does yet, All i know is the ROM's immobiliser code are different in this regard.

Tephra I can test this for ya but it'll be a few days, pulling the head off due to pushing coolant/headgasket leak/failure. Should be back up and running by the end of the weekend.

If I can get away from meetings today for lunch, I'll give this a try as well.
