quick help with TephraMod V5

ok im a little confused with the ICS button and map switching...

1st, i would assume map changes should only be made while car is not running but in the "on" position? is that correct?

2nd, after i flashed the ecu with v5 of the mod, the little green icon lights up on my dash constantly, and if i hit the auto ics button while car is not running but in the "on" position, it goes away...im just confused, how do i know which map the ecu is going from

thanks for any help, as always great mod...ill be testing out the NLTS this friday at the strip

btw i would have posted this under the V5 thread, but was afraid it might get lost in the sea of posts

peter,

1) map changes can occur whenever, there is a built in safety limit for the max load that map changes will occur.
2) if you have setup AutoICS map switching then hold down the Auto button for a couple of seconds, the little green light should flash when on Altmaps.

hope this helps/makes sense.

cheers
d.

no, here are the states:

GREEN FULL ON = Auto ICS engaged (like stock)
GREEN FULL OFF = Auto ICS disengaged (like stock)
GREEN FLASHING = Altmaps engaged
GREEN NOT FLASHING = Altmaps disengaged

so if its FULL ON + FLASHING then you have AutoICS AND Altmaps engaged.

It can also be off but flashing as well. (Like if you press the button down again after holding it down for altmaps)

Anytime it's flashing it's on the altmaps.

Which reminds me, tephra, anyway we can have a setting on how often it flashes?

I've had some people say it's a little annoying at night when on alt-map.

you can disable it in the ROM..

initially I thought so as well, but my eyes/brain got used to it...

I actually want to speed it up a bit, as you need to stare for a while to see if its on/off (specially in the daytime)

I don't think disable is an option I would choose.

Yes, it's a pita to see in the day time, but at night it's pretty bright. Would it be a pita to add a mS option to the blink?

well I need to review the code - it might be easier than I think

Would be awesome to add a light detection diode and have it speed up the flashing during the day :P haha

i have a tuned map that is loaded into the default fuel tables on ecuflash and a stock map loaded on the atlmaps tables...

if i wanted the tuned map the green light should be on?

if i wanted the stock map the green light should be flashing?

and if the light is off completely?

sorry for the newb questions...just want to make sure im understanding it because i really would love to take advantage of the map switching at the track
