It sounds like your 94170015 xml is buggered, can you update to the most recent ecuflash?

yea my sensor just died i think. im getting an error code of 8 (which is overheating sensor). my wideband is right before the cat on the dp. there is no heat sink so im thinking it might be that. im gonna try to recalibrate the sensor so i hope that fixes it.

Ok, downloaded latest Ecuflash Version 1.38.2080

I opened up the 94170015.xml

Your instructions say

"3) Remove/Rename your current "Base Wastegate Duty" #2 and #3, only #1 matters anymore"

I still do not find any tables for base Wastgate duty - aka NO #1, #2, #3, #4 etc..

I find the following which is max Wastegate duty, but no base.

<table name="Max Wastegate Duty # 1" address="44a0">
<table name="RPM" address="6982" elements="16"/>
</table>

<table name="Max Wastegate Duty # 2" address="44b6">
<table name="RPM" address="6982" elements="16"/>
</table>

<table name="Max Wastegate Duty # 3" address="44cc">
<table name="RPM" address="6982" elements="16"/>
</table>

<table name="Max Wastegate Duty # 4" address="44e2">
<table name="RPM" address="6982"/>
</table>

You also have code for Alternate Base Wastegate Duty as below.

<table name="Alternate Base Wastegate Duty" category="Mods" address="39138" type="2D" scaling="WGDuty">
<table name="RPM" address="6982" type="Y Axis" elements="16" scaling="RPM"/>

Do you think this whole ROM for all version is all buggered up, mate? Thanks!

Ok the "Max Wastegate Duty # " 1,2,3,4 are the same as the "Base Wastegate Duty"

There was a general name change on the forum, but obviously hasn't made it into the ecuflash yet...

So in the XML you pasted you can remove 2, 3 and 4

awesome, I can delete those #2, #3, #4 etc - no problem. Thanks much!

But, the 1st issue I reported exists - I still get that table definition error even with new version rom

1) Under Misc section, for Wastegate Compensation, I get the following error:

"The current map description is invalid or incomplete. Please edit the map description to fix the problem and the map will be viewable again"

Should the bin file and the xml be in the same folder, maybe?

I found this line in the original rom in its totality

<table name="Wastegate Compensation" address="4478"/>

Definition seems incomplete for sure....

EDIT - Out of curiousity, I opened up 9470014 map to see if it was there or not and guess what I found...

<table name="Wastegate Compensation" address="4478">
<table name="Temp" address="69d8"/>
</table>

Did some more digging - 96420007 and 96420008 do not have it....

oh ok, I can just delete it then - is what you are saying? Remove unnecessary junk from the XML, ya know?

Who is the owner of the ROM's that are a part of evoscan software? I am surprised no one caught this....

Also, sorry to ask once more - why are some map names in light grey like the init one in the screenshot above?

Thanks, Tephra. This is my 1st week messing with this ECU code stuff. All I started all this just to update my ROM to send to Mellon and gotten way deeper than I wanted to...
