Bulletproof tuning for track use

Going to get my car retuned next week....Installed a cone type air filter, and moved the boost controller...Well, my mechanic moved it, and I am pretty sure it has an effect. Anyway, since I already have an HKS oil cooler, and my track oil temps still go up to 150C, I figured, I had to check the tuning of the car anyway.

I read before of a person who wrote extensively about how to tune the EVO for track use. No matter how I searched I could not find it...any tips on tuning the car properly, not for max power, but more for longevity and hard use...

What is the proper AFR for sertain boost levels? I know the you need to have richer AFR when running with higher boost levels...I am conservative and running 1.2BAR only...what is the proper AFR target for this?

TIA...

Just use the sticky post at the top and when you tune aim for no knock anywhere throughout the powerband. Log and log and log and if you find knock, change the tune. Thats the best way to maximize power and longevity, IMHO.

on the "track" as in circuit racing you need to worry about heat getting into the engine from repetitive laps... best thing to do is drop your boost down to something like 18psi...

however if you mean drag strip then just run as much as you can

Yeah, I am currently at 1.2 BAR and taper down to 1.1 BAR...so that is about 18 psi or less. I will have to check for knock when I get it tuned on tuesday. Yes, no knock is best...heat is the problem with circuit racing...already have upgraded HKS oil coolers, and yet the oil temp gets pretty high...
