Hmm. The endian change should have kept the values the same. Did any other values change even with the updated endian setting?

Nevermind. Found the issue. Missed the ECUTIME endian value. Now it works as advertised.

We're supposed to change the endians in the "evo7base" xml in addition to our specific XML, right? BTW, I went to 1.38.

That is correct. I change the endians in both the Evo7base and the ROM specific xml.

I am having an interesting problem. I am trying to change the cold start ign retard bit, FAA bit 9 from 1 to 0. I enter 0x0 but it doesn't change. I enter 0 and nothing changes. When i copy the 0 cell from FAA bit 8 and paste it in bit 9 ECU flash highlights bits 8-15 like they were changed even though the values stay the same.

Make sense? anyone else experience this? ECUflash 1.35

Try hitting ] and [ (increment and decrement) when the cell is highlighted instead of trying to set the bit directly; it's a small interface bug.

That works but it still highlights the 8-15 bit like they were changed. Not a huge deal, thanks,

Well, they sort of were. You changed that byte by flipping a bit, so the interface is telling you what what was impacted: all bits in the byte are marked as changed. Probably a hold-over from the fact that EcuFlash never originally had bit-level operations, and everything was on the order of a byte or larger.

I agree that it's not quite what you'd expect.

Not sure what you mean. Periphery bits are already supported, but the entries are not included in the ROM xml files. Updated xml files for 8s and 9s are coming soon too.

If you are using ECUFlash 1.35 or higher, periphery bits will work for the Evo VIII as well. :-)

For Periphery bit FBA we are showing bit 7 as Lean Spool. Can someone verify that this is incorrect or correct? (ROM 96530006) I beleive Tephra is seeing Bit 0 as the "Lean Spool Enable/disable."
