Very interested in how it drives. If it does become available for the other ROMS I'd be very interesting in doing testing to help out if it's needed.

Matt, any chance you could get this car back on the dyno for a test? Get your tune nice and squared away, then stick a stock maf (with filter obviously) on the end of your intake. See if adding the maf back into the intake tract restricts flow and/or hurts power.

I think this is going to be one of the main goals of switching to a setup like this, let's see if it really is worth it (at least on one car ).

this is some exciting stuff. Also curious on the driveability, i guess when the car is back together we will know more. Spool looks a little slow too esp. for a 2.3.

If someone is willing to send me a stock inlet pipe, maf sensor and filter, I would gladly give it a shot.

As far as spool up goes, I was expecting better, but it may be something along the lines of needing to adjust the WG actuator or a boost leak. With this set up, boost leaks aren't noticeable at all, and I haven't pressure tested the system yet.

This might be able to be arranged. How far are you from EPL in Stratford?

If you do this, don't do it with the stock inlet pipe, it sucks at this boost level. What type of intake do you have on the car now?

Thanks for response.
I'm still in the jungle ,but once a few monthes I visit Mocow and have a ride on my evo.

mixmastermatt's patch was my first fully functional attemt. Thanks him for testing and for response. The base of the patch he is using has one real issue - the tepmperature compensation. You can set the car to run without it normally - and it works - if temperature in intake is too high-the mixture is enriched- but there are some cold starting issues in negative temperatures.-its too lean if you start it below 0 celsius until the engine gots hot. (you need to play the throttle).

What I havenow in the patch for my test 90550001 rom.
Tnkx to John Banks I made a DMA patch (allows to log at a very high speed) and made a ecu variables overide patch - so you can make your PC to make ignition timing ,fuel and whatever calculations realtime in your PC based on yor logging parametrs-and send them bach to ecu immidiatly. This presented me huge flexability. I made total realtime control for my ecu on Visual Basic running on PC-with the total online tuning (Separate VE table and AFR table, timing table , temperature compensation table, rev limits, fuel cuts, timing retarding on clutch and rev limit..) . Also I made online tuning on dyno and special routine -you set the AFR table online - then after pressing the button it sets VE table to fit target AFR the actul AFR ,readed from wideband ,wired to spare ecu input.
Afterward I made a patch to make this working on a hardware-so after setting afr ,ve and temperature compensation online you can copy it to defined tables in ecuflash, flash to the ecu and run engine without laptop wired to it. Everyting functional-car runs great. barryC tested it on his car.
Sorry- I cannont help now everybody to patch his ecu - I have absolutely no free time- but If somebody wants uncomercially to adopt my patch and software to other ecus - I'll share all I have on this project. Also I have a ecuflash definition for mapping most inputs/outputs for this ecu for this patch.

For me the project is finished - car runs as I want and the rest is hardware -related issues- after installation of the cosword head and dis ignition i hope to pass the number of 600 real HP .Still I am looking for good tranny's front diff, dogbox gearcase internals , forged axles and carbon shaft <1500$. to make my car safly use all its power on a strip.

Someone who knows how to keep this going should definitely adopt this project.

If we can fit a popular 4-bar MAP sensor to it somehow, then we'd really have something.

I am sure you can if someone can figure out the voltage calibration.

hello all,

i'm currently porting bez's AUDM(96530006) MAP limiting code (uses MAP/MDP sensor to clamp AFR's on lift off/idle) to the 94170015 rom and have a question about some of his custom code:

do those other subs under it affect 0x000035b2 or can i relocate it for the 94170015 code and realign the cross-refs?

pretty newb of a question, so hopefully someone has the answer! thanks.

EDIT: don't worry about this stuff...it has nothing to do with the MAP Patch.

I run the 9055001 ROM so would be very interested in trying the DMA logging and live tuning my ECU, is the modded ROM available from either yourself Bez, or John Banks? Thanks.
