You need a new 02 sensor I think mate.

As for mods to the rom.

All you need to do is change the maf size to 356 (doesn't make alot of difference I ran mine at the default 357.5 for about 6 months before I changed it to 356) and change the ecu_prephary 2 from 8A89 to 8889 to disable the EGR fault code.

As for wire swaps, the only ones that are swapped about are for the fan wiring, and if you want to keep the sas (for pops and bangs) then pin 6 needs putting to pin 53, and cut pin 87.

actually hold on. Have you got the Rear02 Simulator turned on?

if so can you turn it off and re-log the o2 signal (not the rear one)

Yes I have the rear o2 sensor simulator turned on but I can't see how that would affect anything as my cousin has the same rom settings on his evo 7 and his is working fine.

Also lets not forget that I have an Evo 7 ECU on an Evo 6 GSR, so wouldn't I have to have the Rear O2 Simulator running?

I will give it a go anyhow when I get home to see what difference it makes...

Russ did you have to disable Rear O2 Sensor simulator for your car??

EDIT: I have managed to source a brand new Universal O2 sensor for my car, will be installing that and see how that goes without any further changes and a quick resetting of the ECU.

Update: Universal O2 sensor was only a 1 wire, back to hunting again.

one way to see if your o2 is faulty is swap it with your cousin and see if swapping fixes it.

I have installed a brand new universal O2 sensor, reset the ECU and here is the result:

The car seems to be running much better and only time will tell when I get through my current tank of gas and record my mileage results.

Thanks to everyone who had helped me in this thread....
