Major fuel economy issue
Major fuel economy issue
I've installed an E7 ecu on my E6 GSR (Full exhaust, intake, Walbro 500hp fuel pump, standard turbo) with the tephra mod RA 90550001 rom, with my factory e6 ECU i had great fuel economy 10L/100km but now my fuel economy with the E7/RA rom has since been very very bad, from full tank to 1/4 tank I had only managed 115km, you can literally see the fuel gauge needle dropping whilst maintaining constant speed.
I am also receiving CEL and having checked the trouble code in EvoScan this is what it shows: 'P0170 Fuel Trim Bank 1.'
Something else I might add is that prior to my E7 ECU conversion I had previously cut the factory O2 sensor cable to be able to slip on a round spanner past the connector to get it off the factory dump pipe and I might have got the two black wires mixed up when wiring it back together, unsure if this would've affected anything? (Blue and white wires both also connected back up, I simply twisted and taped the wires back up)
I don't know what other piece of information is required but here is my fuel and timing maps, my injector scaling has been set to 542cc/min.

EDIT:
I have checked one of my data logs when the car was sitting at normal operating tempature on idle and the most voltage that the o2 sensor had peaked at was only 0.059v, is this normal? Click here for the graph

Thanks heaps Tephra for your advice! I had swapped out the two black wires and datalog the results as follows (It's now showing voltage of 0.x as opposed to 0.0x), my concern is that I've been running it like this for a while now and am worried that my o2 sensor is not as efficient or faulty now.
Here are the results from correcting the o2 sensor wires, could you analyse it and determine if it's still functional?

The two black wires being wrong would not have effected things, as they are only the heater element wires. Getting them back to front has no effect. Getting the Blue and White wire backwards can have a big effect though.
Your 02 sensor was not working (twisting the wires together and taping them, isn't the best way to do it).
You would have been running around 11.5afr at idle and cruise (well mine did the other week when my 02 sensor was faulty).
As the 02 doesn't give a signal (or the correct signal) the ecu over compensates and just dumps huge amounts of fuel in.

Thanks heaps guys for your responses, I don't have a wideband to test.
I will crimp the O2 wire connection and change my MAF size to 356 and reflash my ECU, from there I will reset my ECU and data log the results.
I am hoping the readings from Evoscan are correct, does anyone have datalog graphs of their O2 sensor voltage on idle/cruise so I can get an idea of what 'normal' looks like?

OK so I have reflashed my ECU with the MAF size correction to 356, crimped the
O2 wire connection, without resetting the ECU this is the data log I obtained:

Time for a new O2 sensor? Just need to hear it from the experts
Are there any other rom changes that I should be weary of since I'm running an evo 7 ecu/rom on my E6 GSR?
EDIT: Unsure if this matters but my installed aftermarket Dump Pipe positions the O2 sensor closer to the turbine housing outlet:

see how your LFTT is 12.x - thats the max value it can be.
So I would say either your injectors are not scaled correctly, or more probably your front 02 sensor is bung (excuse the pun).
what size injectors u got?

I've got just the factory Injectors on my car as far as I'm aware, I've scaled it to 542cc/min on my rom and in evoscan....
What are the odds that my O2 sensor is faulty? Here's my cousin's Evo 7 O2 readings I've taken a few weeks ago.... Looks to be functional opposed to mine...

looks pretty screwed
i mean if you had a WB you would be able to verify you are running 14.7:1 at idle...
how does the car smell when just idling? not sure how much o2 sensors are but I suspect its fuxored...
edit - maybe confirm with cossie1 or barryc that you dont need todo anything more in terms of wiring...
