The ignition retard limit function.

I haven't had any success with getting it to go further than -10 of timing during testing.

Hello, I tried everything possible and retard timing and tephra xlm 5.1 and 7 and I can not get my timing delay less than -10 degrees.
My stock is 94,170,008 xml. I try to change it to 94170015 with timing retard, and tephra 5.1 and 7. I also tried switching to 9653xxxx with tephra 7 and timing retard, can not get below -10 º

Please I need help, I need minimum -15 º in my evo VIII, stock ecu id 94,170,008

I got this to work on my evo ix somewhat, but i am having some issues, i get the timing to go from 35 down pretty much as defined in my launch timing map but after seeing -12 it shot up to 16 then -11 and finally -15, the map is set to -17 from 5500 to 6500. the limiter is set to 6000 and i see rpms from 5600 to 6600. I am confused why i am seeing positive timing because after and before the -17 cells the next cells are -12 and i have them going to 200 on the load.

(this isn't set as a serious launch map i am just seeing if i can make it work)

BUMP !

I am having difficulty in getting max retard ignition on an EDM EVO7 90550001 .Timing retard limit is set to 188 units.
220 = -16.34
203 = -10.37
188 = -5.09
.
Now i simply have to change the number to 203 or i have to add some coding in the xml file ? if so , then what values should i put in that table so that i get pops and flames..

Please guide me through.

Thanks.

set to 255 highlight value hit =,type 255, hit enter .

put neg timing in low load areas say 0 to 30 load 1500 to 6500rpm then edit the als tables
if you have them if not post here and il add xml info for them .

something like this
als vechicle speed 24kmh
temp 50c
trigger rpm 3000 units
load to trigger 100 units
trigger time 2.0 sec
trigger valid time 10 secs
load below 45 units
active time 12 sec
delay air 0.1 sec
delay fuel 0.1 sec
fuel inject time 10 sec
air inj time

2000 - 0
2500 - 0.6
3000 - 1.2
3500 - 2.2
4000 - 2.6
4500 - 2.6
5000 - 2.6
5500 -2.6
6000 - 1.0

There is no ALS table in my rom.

Will this 255 value work ? because i read in a thread that 90550001 rom has max retard set to -5 and for timing lower than this one needs to add a table and edit value in it.

Kindly add some xml info for ALS table as well as max retard timing scaling.

Max retard for all Evo 7 roms is -10, it won't go any lower.
