I have this disabled in my ROM, yet today got the code after doing a major service (timing belt/plugs etc). How is it possible to get the code if it's disabled via periphery?

I'll double check the plugs/belts etc, but am pretty sure it's a bogus error. The car runs fine for a while, then just dies. I've had P0300 disabled for a couple of years now and never had an issue.

My Periphery2 says "8A89". Do you have something to enter there ? Or does it just need scaling adjustment? Great topic btw!

Edit: rom I'm using is 90550001

I'm new at this eco game so please bare with me. I just bought an 03 evo with 40k miles. I drove it home about 60 miles and between 2500-4000 rpm or so I had a slight knock but thought it was maybe just bad gas or something. The next morning on the way to work the check engine light popped and the knock seemed a bit worse. Still pulled hard under boost and idles fine just under slight throttle and in 4th or 5th gear in between 2000rpm or so and 4000rpm. So i replaced the plugs with OEM mitsu plugs and still have the knock. No cracks in the wires, I put injector cleaner in the tank and still nothing. Well I came across all these threads about the p0300 code. No when all of you are saying this new ROM has gotten rid of the "p0300" code are you also free of the knocking that was apart of the code as well? Thanks.

Noob question sorry in advanced, my 03 evo 8 (~50k miles) recently started throwing this code and i would like to get rid of it. Can i just buy a Tactrix Openport 2.0 (w/adapter) or do i have to use a Tactrix 1.3U cable? And i do all of this through ECUFlash without the need of EVOScan?

Either cable is fine. EvoScan not needed but ECUFlash of course is.

I have a question :

If I disable the P0300 test and I have real misfire on one cylinder, do you know if I will be able to get from the ecu the misfire code for each cylinder P0301, P0302, P0303 et P0304 ?

It disables all the misfire routines.

So, if I have real misfire on the cylinder #4, the ecu will not send me the code P0304 ?

Not if P0300 is disabled. The reality is that you'll likely feel a misfire before the ECU detects one. I've had it happen in my own Evo. And on the other hand, the ECU will throw a misfire code for something that isn't a misfire. IMHO, there's no point in having it enabled.
