getting "overboost"CEL and boost limit is maxed at 319??

hey guys, i was turning my boost up today when i was tuning and everything was going good. but right around 35psi it felt like i hit a ign/fuel cut, at first i thought it was just me accidently hitting the clutch tripping my NLTS. so after doing this a few times i turned off NLTS and went out to try it again, and it was still happening. so by this time i was getting pissed and tried it one more time and it did it again, then i noticed that my CEL was on. so i pulled the code and it was the "engine over boost" P0243 so i thought that maybe i didnt have the "boost limit" maxed out in ecuflash. so easy fix i thought to my self but after pulling it up i find out that i was maxxed out at 319 already! so now my question is what can i do to stop this, i already tried turning it off via Periphery FDA Bit 2, but it was still doing it.

so has anyone heard this happen before? or is there something else wrong?

recap: boost limit is maxed out but still getting "engine overboost" cel at 35psi and higher. thanks!

i was looking at that and i was thinking about setting it to 0 but ur saying that setting it as high as it will go (witch happens to be 1638375 ms) is how to stop it?

the timer is how long boost needs to be above the boost limit b4 fuel cut occurs...

so longer timer means less chance of fuel cut

Are you logging load when this happens? I have exceeded an apparent timer for riding the 379.8 clip and gotten a similar sensation previously.

load only got to 345ish with meth.

So have I. If you're telling me there is something that acts as a referee at 380 load, I'll feel better about the misfire I see up there.

Thats my current feeling. I know when it happens everytime, I can adjust the Pro to keep away from it but as I posted in the other thread it may be irrelevant at this point.

yea my load stays low from the meth and i think that me having a blow through setup has something to do with it as well. the maf-t changes the maf signal so i can kinda move my max load up or down but im out of fuel now, i have 720's with a m15 meth jet witch is like 996cc's or something like that and im at 107 IDC.

i was able to run a constant 379 load on our project car before without issue, but Jestr had to change something for me in the background map...

that was at 30psi on pump gas, 500whp on our mustang dyno.

This might also be cured with Tephra's boost limit mod that allows the car to run out to 638% (effectively) as far as boost cut is concerned without tapping out. That might be what John had done as well. it still only goes to 380, but it ignores the ceiling until 638 to be concise.
