evoscan 2.5 w/ vista woes

Searched on the other forums, found out it was something do with Vista Service Pack. The only way to access this file if ya wanna open it in excel is to delete the file and then copy paste it outta the recycle bin.

when you open up your saved datalogs folder, and only see the 2 sample logs, you need to hit the compatibility files button and your logs will be in there...

i got it to delete an error code but wont log
i get errors in reference to a driver dpinst something or other
what are the permissions please link it here
its prob something stupid i missed


arrrgghhhh

this is the error
load FTDI Devices: Unable to load DLL 'FTD2XX.dll'; The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)

and everytime I plug in the openport wire it searches for the openport1.3 universal driver

even after i installed the driver in the USB Driver file

it says i have to run the 64 bit version of the DP Inst.exe on this machine
contact the vendor that provided you with this package

If you are using a serial to usb converter for a wideband this would be your problem. You will need to get 64 bit drivers for your usb to serial adapter or the FTDI driver for 64bit didn't upgrade.

Just a theory I'm no pro

where would i find something like that? my laptop will not communicate with my wideband

actually i got a pm from hamish and I added ecuflash (the latest version) and it seems to work now
but its snowing out so i cant log anything
i dont want to spend time in a cold car trying to figure it out
i would love to try and tune this on ecuflash but then its my fault if i tune it wrong and destroy my motor
