evoscan error msg

Exclamation evoscan error msg

hi, I need some help. i have evoscan v2.5 on my laptop w/ vista. i had to get someone who could help me with the permissions for vista, so evoscan is running fine, the problem is that when start logging, the values on the options i select, arent changing. and when i go to see the savedlog all the values are zeros....anyone know how i can fix this?

Are you running 64bit Vista? A lot of us have had the same problem logging "0" values with evoscan on 64bitg Vista. The 2.6 beta version seems to work fine so you should try that.

yes in on the vista and all my values r at 0 , if i upgrade to 2.6 do i need to go thru the whole permistion proceesss again

Possibly. Just follow the instructions at the beginning of the evoscan v2.6 thread to install it.

Make sure "Log Data to Screen" is checked under "logging" options, or the on screen values won't change. I have a funny feeling it's not your issue as the log file shows a 0 as well ... but FYI nonetheless.

if your is running Vista 64-bit then it's the problem. You'll need the latest version of EvoScan 2.6 for it.

yep 0 values are due to a 64bit Vista problem where Microsoft changed the Architecture of how com+ usb driver dlls talk via interop. I have now re written my com interop to be 64 bit compatable. v2.6 beta11 is the current latest version.
