it was zero cause thats what David set it to then. default its 1 (on)

Didn't even realize. You have the routine enabled, as advised 0 turns them off. The only bit that is not 0 for disable is FAA bit 11, that requires a 1 to disable.

are you sure its 1 to disable? every other post here on this thread says its 0 to disable?

That spread-sheet shows FBA bit 7 as Lean-Spool.
It should be FBA bit 0.

I just disabled FCA bit 15, but still get a P0403 error.

FCA BIT 15 is for evap. Periphery 2 FCA bit 9 disables EGR. Below is a quick reference i made awhile ago.

I disabled FCA bit 9 as well, but what I have seen links P0403 to bit 15. It sounds like the Periphery bits for my car may not match the Evo.

Nope, its an Airtrek, basically an Evo7 engine with an auto.

Yea, MrFred found the EGR disable for me, hopefully he can figure this out for me as well. We are lucky there are guys out there that can do this stuff, its way over my head.

So to clarify. If I've removed only my EGR valve/hoses and my FPR Solenoid, I only have to change:

FAA Bit 11 disable (EGR)

And

FEA Bit 7 disable (FPR)

I don't have to touch FCA bit 15, correct?
