Welcome to Logging....

At least for me... Ok so far I've read all of Evo4Mad's 2.6 v6 Thread and have successfully (i think) connected evoscan 2.6 v6 to my evo9 with vista x64. My car is bone stock and I just want to make sure what Im looking at is correct. Do I need to input anything like my rom Id (88590015) or any patches I should be aware of? I do see that the TPS is at 14 or so even when the pedal isn't depressed, is this normal?

Welcome to the logging addiction . Start with the sticky topics in this forum and then move forward from there.

My TPS has hovered around 13% for as long as i can remember in the same situation. Others can comment as necessary.

If you want TPS in 0-100% scale:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...-position.html
Code:
<DataListItem DataLog="N" Color="" Display="TPS" LogReference="TPS" RequestID="8A" Eval="100/222*x-33" Unit="load" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="0" GaugeMax="100" ChartMin="0" ChartMax="100" ScalingFactor="1" Notes="" Priority="1" Visible="False" />

there are quite a few patches that you can add to your .xml's (ecuflash) just depends on certain things, such as if you have a jdm map sensor, you can add a patch to log BOOST.

Heres a link to the page of ALL of the STICKIED threads. I would read these, then go into the "ecuflash" forum section and read all of those as well.

I believe w/ 2.5 that should work, but try adding it to the .xml file. Keep a copy of the .xml (just in case)

<still running 2.5

You don't do it in evoscan. You look for the data.xml under the EvoScan folder (at least in the older versions....not on my EvoScan comp so can't check right now)

Once you find it, first save a few backup copies so that if you screw this up you can simply replace it with the original.

Then you can open the file in notepad or any other editor that reads xml, look for the line that logs TPS and replace it with the one below.

Save the file and then re-open EvoScan and it should work.

there is no folder for this in the newer versions. Im not sure which version this started, but running 2.5. I just opened up 2.5 and there is no way to add to any .xml. I think you just add it to the relevant data in the correct boxs.

And you would need the correct value in the MUT table @ 8A, as well. What is the correct value @ 8A? I have 6EE3, but have a different def. for TPS, which now leads me to my issue here...(weird) I will try this def. and log when the rain stops/I have the correct value...

When I go to edit my definition "TPS" I have request ID = 17, EVAL = x*100/255, UNIT = %, RESPONSE BYTES = 1, GUAGE/CHART MIN. = 0, GUAGE/CHART MAX. = 100, SCALING FACTOR = 1. Now logging everything seems fine, (minus the 14% instead of 0%), but when I go into my MUT table @ 17 I have "6A.." WTH?

In 2.5 there is a folder called "DataSettings" and the .xml lives there

Hmmn, thats weird! I dont have such a folder. I installed/reinstalled 5-6 times and no change. The only place I can make changes is when I open up the program/graphs and maptracer/edit .xml. I had this folder when running 2.1.

Any insight on the value in the MUT table for Request ID 17?
