sorry again, not sure if this was asked.

If you are under/over target on boost control does the correction affect the entire table or just that gear?

kinds like timing falls off, then it picks up effect? (or like you pull the hand brake for a couple seconds the car "bogs"?)

ill try alt maps when i need to refuel
This was definitely more like a brick wall of fuel cut than a flat spot. Unfortunately I wasn't logging IDC. This could probably help you visualize....

EDIT: Nevermind... I never upped my boost cut tables and it was not an issue before because I wasn't seeing those loads for long enough. Sorry for the worry everybody

The AFR saftey is not working for me. No CEL flash and no boost drop. I have enabled WBO2 check AFR saftey and + Drop boost on AFR Out of Range. Boost drop on knock works still and I have kept it enabled.

Settings:
AFR saftey load threshold 200%
AFR saftey min volts 0.00 (10.0:1 AFR)
AFR saftey max volts 0.61 (10.9:1 AFR)
AFR saftey boost drop and flash time 1000ms (tried 10ms and 5000ms however)

I have logged the rear o2 which is oxygen sensor #2 in the graph. My AFR's hold pretty steadily at mid 11's so the code should see it as leaner than 0.61 (10.9:1 volts) and drop boost. However nothing happens. No CEL flash and WGDC% keeps on boostin. Load hits and holds 260% from 3500-redline.

dan_l ... try something like .01 max volts and 50 load first so its really easy to exceed the limit and see the drop. I'm not sure if the time is time exceeding before cutting in (like boost cut) or time to drop wgdc after the event, but either should allow you to see it easily at 1000ms.

I'm also not sure if we are setting up a window with high and low volts. IE do I set it to 0.61 for min volts ad 5.00 for max volts so if the rear O2 is within that window it will enable boost cut.

no it should be out of that range.

try setting max to 5v and min to 1v (ie you are richer then you range)

What analogue settings have you got for your LC1?

fosty - if you are seeing the dips then you need to increase the loadfactor again.
1.2 = max load of 306
1.3 = max load of 331

(change both evoscan and ecuflash to match)

This is my LC1 settings. Y=1.6X + 10 where Y=AFR and X is Voltage. Analog output #2 is what is fed to my rear O2.

Yup! I was kind of surprised it didn't clip differently (IE at 306)

ok so in the xml there is a scaling call WBAFR - just change the formula to match your values.

ie 10 is the same, however 16.99 should become 17.98.

That should fix the min/max AFR tables.

Try and set the range to max=5v and min=1v... ie you are richer than the range...

Will try tomorrow.

Just so I'm crystal clear. If I set the min to 1v and the max to 5v. What will happen is when I am richer than 1v (any reading from 0v to 0.99 volt) things will be fine. If however I enter the 1v - 5v window and I'm above my min load threshold, it will pull back the wastegate.

Thus with my old settings that I was trying (0v to 0.61 volt window) the car was outside the window and the wastegate never got pulled back, thus it didn't work because of user error.

I'll give it a shot tomorrow after work.

thanks,
dan

no.

min=1v, max=5v.

So if your rear02 voltage is WITHIN this range AND your load is above the ABOVE the preset everything will be fine.

Outside of this range and your WGDC should drop to 0% for the prescribed period of time.

Humph, thats what I first started out with. I built my range to be min=0v and max=0.61v (10.0AFR to 11.0AFR). Thus I should easily be able to surpass the 0.61v (11.0AFR)to go outside the range (lean) and have the WGDC drop to 0% for the amount of time I set. In other words my WBO2 reports higher voltages when I am running leaner.

I'll give it a shot tomorrow, I'll have more time to try more numbers. I modified my XML so ecuflash reports AFR values instead of voltage values, so it should be easier.
