TephraMOD V6 - testing!
Zach,
when you make available the tephra 7 package, will it be a xml with mrfreds alterations? Such as his psi boost etc?
When I make the switch from 0015 to 706 is the change made by renaming the 706 xml to 0015 and deleting the original 0015? Then adjusting the immob etc?

OR
I can make one that disables EGR, EVAP, enables psi based boost, etc....
Tephra has an additional XML that you will just copy to your XML definition directory, no deleted or editing, just copy and paste the file, much easier and less problems this way!
Either way whatever ROM you choose to go with all you will have to do is put in your immob., fuel, timing, etc....and you are good to go. We will make all ready to go so all the USDM guys can switch easy just like before.
I am glad we have a universal EVO8 ROM that will run on all 8's!

Ok Gotcha.
I loaded up v 7.5, I think it is, (from previous page of postings) and there are several "copies" of tables from previous patches. The odd thing is some of the information isn't the same exactly. I will compile a list of oddities and post them later.
Going from 94170015 to the new mod...could prove interesting for the USDM guys. Mostly because EDM, JDM, and USDM are all slightly different for VIIIs. The "universal" ROM is a great idea, but with all the differences in the ROMs how can we be sure all the bases are covered?

yes you will need to delete any old xml's you have.
as long as the car runs well, and you can pass emmisions is there anything else that needs to be covered?

Sorry man I did not get a chance to test it out yesterday, my daughter took up my time
, time well spent though
Today it's raining like crazy and I don't like to drive the car in the rain. One because I just detailed it like crazy last weekend. Second because I would be all over the road spinning like crazy and that would be fun but not a good test!
I will test ASAP if we get some sun today and the roads dry off....

Ill give it a go. I have been following but it seems not so well. I would have offered to test it out.
I bet its fine anyway. Every patch Ive applied has worked great with my car. Even switching over from 008 to 015 never any tip in knock really. Usually a good test subject.

Hey guys question. If Im running a EVC do I need to set my boost control tables to anything so they arent in use ?
I will be getting a GM bcs soon but as for right now Im running the HKS ez evc.
Im not sure if Im even on the right track with V7t5 but I opened up 0008 deleted it all pasted in the new rom saved it then renamed it to 706. Now Im assuming I copy all my info over to the new rom.
Im curious though if you left some tables as incomplete of if I messed up.
Thanks Tephra. Donation will be on the way. The rom looks great and and is set up nice.

Just copy the included tephra*xml FILE into your ecuflash directory.
you DONT need to copy/paste sections into the xml files anymore...
if your running and EBC then just make sure your boost limit tables are setup right... everything else shouldnt need to be changed..
