yeah i was messing around with the values a little in the lower hz columns, not the actual hz themselves. but they say to add the 2 together to see what you should either +/- by that %. i was just wondering since my STFT is all over the place if i would just disregard it and judge off my LTFT low, which was at a constant -6.675 or something close to that

The MAF scaling template is pretty neat. I had to adjust the calculations for EvoScan, but it works pretty well.

What is the status on your idle b16???

i havent gotten a chance to put the stock rubber tube back on yet, i had school from 8 to 6 and then homework and food, then it was dark and cold, haha, so hopefully tomorrow, what did you change in evoscan to get it to read properly? i only changed the scaling so it would read hz in ecuflash

but what should i do about that STFT? just never mind it or what? and i did a log and my LTFT low was still the same, even after i put the settings back to stock, i thought that would've changed since it did when i changed it. but it didnt, just stayed the same

Since you have an VIII, like me, you will need to disconnect the battery and try to start the car to remove any residual memory. Then re-connect the battery and start the car. Let it idle for at least 16 minutes to get 4 cycles through it. You should see your LTFT low make an adjustment.

The EvoScan calculation is supposed to be....0.1953125*x-25 for LTFT low, mid and high.

well, more problems, i have a horrible vibration above 4500, it feels like i'm driving over constant rumble strips..... only without the little pauses, its just constant, so now i have to figure out where this is coming from...

If you are losing power too....I say check your plugs. Your fuel condition may have fouled the plugs.

i think that vibration was coming from the balance shaft probably being off for timing, i checked on all data and it didnt look like how they said it should, they had the little dot on the oil pump at about the 11 o'clock postion, mine was at the like 2 or 3 if my friend remembers right (he was down at the bottom) but he said thats the way it came off, but i dont think it was because i never had that problem before. So i'm going to try and fix that today, if i can get in the schools shop

this is how all-data says to have it, but my crank key was facing the 3 o'clock when it was at tdc, so i'm not sure, and my oil pump pulley was also facing 3ish

You may need to turn the engine over a few full rotations to get everything to line up.
