im having the same issue.

As soon as I get a chance I'm going to check all my piping for a leak, as well as the pipe that recirculates the bov back to the intake. I think it has a small cut in it, which might be causing the problem.

It sounds to me that your MAF isn't reading low enough to adjust the LTFT Low. This will cause the car to want to use the LTFT Mid to control fuel at idle. The problem here is that the mid also adjusts for cruise conditions. If you were to let the car idle for an extended period of time, let it stumble and such, it will eventually stabilize and idle ok. This is because the LTFT Mid adjusts to compensate and allow the car to idle.

I assume all who have this issue are running aftermarket intakes? The intakes screw up the MAF Hz reading at idle. With time and patience you can recalibrate the MAF to read below 40Hz at idle which will allow the LTFT Low to start adjusting again.

I wish one of the super ECU guys on here would find a way to adjust the MAF LTFT switching points. If we have them we can raise the LTFT Low to allow a slightly higher Hz reading at idle and have it scale correctly.

I have been fighting this issues for months. My car now idles like a champ.

Oh one more thing....check your throttle body seals. Mine leaked at anything above 4 psi. Made a slight difference at idle too.

Thanks for the very good info...

Hi mate,

Did U menage to set the Deceleration Air Flow Correction?

How did U make the settings?

I have the same issue with the idling and when I open the AC that problem disapeer.

My older map was 88840013 USDM version.....and one month ago I switch to 88840017 EDM version.

In the past I had this problem more offen but now after reflashing....I face the problem but not so offen.

So if there is a way to mod this from the map please tell me. I want to try it.

I install on my car also EIDS TypeK and I still had the problem.

Thanks

I played a little with the Deceleration Air Flow Correction and it fixed some issues, but still some more adjusting and more playing with the settings.
Still not fixed but I'm getting there.

Look in his first post. He is on a 35r, therefore is probably on a high flow pipe as well. My 8, when it was 35r powered did the EXACT same thing...I just learned to drive around it, which was a pain in the butt.

I will be going to a SD patch soon with my new setup, so we will see if that helps my case too.

Well I varified my little mod to my intake pipe. I am certain that the area the MAF goes into must be the same size as the MAF or slightly smaller in order to get the MAF Hz to be low enough to affect LTFT low.

We need the ability to adjust the LTFT switching points....This will save so many people the headaches of getting cams and hard pipes to idle.
