Are you putting the 30psi peak into the picture?

Have you tuned E85 at 30psi to make that kind of judgment call?

thats what i was thinking.... all the negative numbers are in the way low rpm columns so you never get there anyway. look safe, maybe not best for power.

 

I usually seem to see negative numbers or a zero in your ones. Other than it, it looks really good. E85 maps on a stock turbo (and even stock appearing for the most part) look very similar generally unless the car has a noisy motor and you havent turned the knock control down to make it less sensitive.

A few things I might possibly change with that map if I was to run it in my car is the timing in the 140 to 220 loadsYou can probably eek a little bit more out of it than that, as my map has about 2-4 degrees more, and doesn't knock. I do have my knock sensitivity changed a tad since I am on a built no balance shafts motor. Changing/tuning in that area will give the car a better feel when you are half on the gas, and "quickly" putzing around town. I would get rid of the non-linearity in the 100 load, from 3000 to 6000 rpm, but that just me being a little picky. One more being picky is you could combine the 10,20 & 30 load columns as you don't need that much resolution at idle & just above idle conditions, especially because the three columns are the same. Me personally would put the resolution somewhere in between the 100-240 loads because thats probably where the car spends most of its time during spirited daily driving. Increasing the resolution there can enable you to really make a quick & responsive part throttle spirited driving car.

Other than that, your map looks pretty similar to mine, with the exception I am spiking 2psi higher than you. My map mas looked similar to yours, for almost two years now on E85, and I still love it. Just small tweaks here and there to it is all I do anymore.

 

Thanks for all the replies guys, I tweaked the load 100 row and I think Ill leave it at that for now. I cant really tune it to the edge of knock then back it off because the knock sum is all over the place all the time.

Could clean up the AFR and probably clean up the timing ramp from 4k to 6500.

You should really be logging 2byte or 1byte load and not CalcLoad.

 

Ok I will upload the tephramod v5.10 tomorrow, this is just so I have a more accurate load to follow for adjusting each cell corrrect?

 

It seems to me that alot of people these days seem to be running more timing at peak torque that everyone first thought possible, opinions?

 

I'm only running 2-4* of peak timing around 28-29 psi. My car feels fine with that setting. I don't feel a need to run more- what's the point?

 

I usually tune a little more aggressive in the mid range on E85 as well. There is some left in it there. Just watch your torque numbers and see if it likes the extra timing.

 

The map looks good. Just minor fixes here and there.
