P0135 CEL Fix for 90550001/98640014?

P0135 is the front heater circuit and I've been trying to figure out what periphery bit to change in order to eliminate this CEL.

I've searched this section of the forum and the only answer I've found is this post to:

There's no heater in the front 02 to my knowledge.

This is a JDM evo 6gsr.

The car with the stock e6 ecu throws no code. The car was swapped over to the JDM e7 GSR ecu and threw this code from the get go.

Changing the 56 to 16 does work. I am not versed in code though. I found it by litteraly turning off and on periphery bits in a logical fashion until I isolated it. I have used it on many cars and have not found any adverse effects, but try it and see for yourself. I woudl love to knwo if there are any other effects that I have not discovered as yet.

Every Evo5 and 6 I have converted has triggered this code, even though the heater wires are on the same pins as the 7/8 and the resistance checks out. I resorted to periphery trickery as a last resort.

Thanks wreckford...I've posted this same question in the MLR forum and everyone had me thinking I was going crazy, or screwed up somewhere. Although I know the wiring was checked several times and the 02 heater circuit was working fine you never know sometimes.

16D0 solved the problem...and strange enough the car has been running MUCH better ever since.

Good thread, i checked my complete wiring twice, still had the P0135 error.

Changing to 16D0 worked, and the heater code is gone.

FAA bit 14 is the front o2 heater circuit.as wreckleford has said using the perephery code 0x16D0 disables it.iv used it in my e8 ecu conversion into my evo 2.

16DA is just do nothing ... no changes.
16D0 - car not starting, even with right immo hex.
