does a stock evo 8 have launch control?

 

yup think so...just pull your rom and look for stationary rev limit.

 

If I am not mistaken only the 2005 evo 8 has launch control.

 

wrong. all evo's 2003-2006 have it, it is just not set up from the factory and the value has to be changed in the stationary rev limiter table.

 

mine has it

 

so i have to hook it up to a laptop to make it work?

yes, you have to have a tactrix cable and ecuflash. if you have both of them then you could email me your rom and i can change it for you or you can do it yourself if you know how to
