Evo8 ECU in a 1G DSM in the works!
You could do it for next to nothing, in true DSM fashion, if you make it yourself with a harness cut out of junk yard car and a blown 1G ECU (for the header).
I just completed my adapter-harness for the Evo8-ECU in a 1G DSM. In ignition mode everything is fine - could not start the engine yet, dont wanna try without a downpipe attached
The car is a turbo-conversion based on a '92 eu-spec eclipse. I got the Evo8 MAF and the Evo8 injectors hooked up (MAF also via adapter-harness) combined with a Evo3 16G Turbocharger. My intention is that the car will run "well" on stock evo7/8 tune
I'll report.
BTW: thanks for all the great information in this thread. i found everything i needed to know here

Have a question about setting base timing with this. Are you guys just locking it with EvoScan and setting the CAS?
Also we ran into a weird almost misfire looking gap at 6k exactly on a couple of pulls. No audible miss, but timing cleared it up kind of. The weird part is right around the same RPM the coolant temp goes wacky every pull. It will be consistent at 176 or so and then suddenly drop to 132 only to come right back up at 6500 to 176 or so.

I wonder if there is a ground loop or poor connection to the engine ground maybe? Not sure how it would only be affected at a specific RPM but I figured I'd throw that out there since its a sensor thing.
JOT, I agree that does look like a system measurement/recording limitation there on that nice plot.
And you can work out roughly what the thermal delay time is from when the throttle was lifted. Good plot OXDEAD.

Well sorry to be inactive for so long, I just caught up with the thread. Saw the ISC B coils were backwards and fixed it on my tables. I'm a pay check away from getting EvoScan and OpenPort 2.0 connector. I ordered a 2G knock sensor from Mitsu that'll be here Tuesday. Also I got my car on the road finally after putting a FMIC, Evo III 16G, used alt, and 3" exhaust on it just to have the alt crap out on me 3 days later and have the car back down.
