Fixed it, installed 1.42 was using 1.43.300. Copied modified rom 53040007 into 1.42 folder and Options have appeared in 1.42

I just got my new 2012 GSR- yay! Anyways, I wanted to start logging some items to see what's going on in the car's brain. I've got the xml correct with the three options for mode 23- 2 IFmodes and 1 DoMode. I changed the hex bits accordingly and started to log. Well, somethings not jiving correctly because all of my values are really screwed up. At idle, it's reading 125rpms, anywhere from 90 to 240mph (I'm stopped), timing advance is 140, etc etc. What am I doing wrong?

Make sure you are using the right definition file in EvoScan. You can download Golden's EvoScan file from goldenevo.com

It should say on the home page which definition file to use.

You're on the ball man- thanks! The addy's in evoscan aren't the same as in your xml file (V1 EvoX). That worked just perfect- donation on the way

I feel like I'm doing something wrong. My rom is 52680015 and inherits from evo10base. I copied the 3 lines (IF & Do) from under 52680015 -> 52680020 and added it to the evo10base.xml under the Misc section like the picture shows. Saved and closed EcuFlash, then re-opened it. The file now shows the 3 IF and Do lines but there are 2 other things listed there.. mode 23 part 1 and mode 23 part 2 (They were there before any changes were made too). Is this right? Any help is appreciated.

Also, I read someone's comment about adding a config.txt?!? I didn't see that listed on the original post.

Update: I changed the values for IFModes to 0x23 and DoMode to 0x52 and both the mode23 parts changed automatically to enabled. See the Before and After pics attached. I flashed the ECU successfully and all is good.
