Knock
That is not what I meant at all there are a good many guys on this board that are very knowledgable about many platforms then their are those that think they are. I was trying to help a fellow 3g owner out as I have done about 10x more to this platform than anyone on this board I have hours of logs and dyno runs with this and have worked with several very good tuners on my car from the sohc bolt on turbo like he has, to the fully modded dohc with a Quaiffe LSD like I have now. My 3g makes 330 wtq at 3500 rpms plenty of power for a fwd on pump gas. I could go alot higher on race gas but the trans just won't hold up I have broken it 5 times now. Soon it's getting an upgraded input shaft from shep like my 2g.

Before you get off on saying how it works I'll just point out that because it works does not make it correct.
Here's what I'm running right now It's not perfect but it doesn't knock and has 60k miles on the engine.

We're all about helping, it was you who stuck his check out like you were the god of all turbo'd 3G's and we wouldn't be any help to him. We all want to help the OP if we can, so lets move on and get back on topic please before a mod needs to come close or clean up this thread.

Second, why offer someone a map with an obvious issue that you claim you were aware of? Way to help a 3G brother out. At least now you decided to give him a peek at a tuned map from your car which will get him in the ballpark hopefully.

ok everyone claim down. Actualy my car seems to like more advanced timing than a stock evo from 120-160 an a little lower from 50-90. Not every cell was advanced or retarded it was more about the transition. Any more than a 2 jump over 100 caused knock. idk its pulling a lot harder and evoscan says im goos knock wise. I peak load at 160 cell. I would post up the map but i dont know how.

Considering that was back in 2006 according to your post record which is before the join date of probably many here it stands to reason that the general mood of the forum could have changed in the last 3 or so years since you asked.

You can then add the attachment via the attach files button near the bottom of the screen, using the advanced post features.
I FU*KIN pshced right now, i added more fuel and timing got almost all the knock gone have a 3 here and there. So im on the highway an a WRX pulls up next to me, i down shift into 4th going 80, he beeped 3 times we took off an i pulled on him likke nothing, i was 3 cars ahead by 5th gear an just kept pulling on him! then a m6 saw us racing so he pulls up next to me to run. I didnt even know it was a m6 my friends in another car told me after. I beeped 3 times again in 4th going 80ish we took off i pulled a car ahead, hit 5th still a 1/2 car ahead we got up to 130(my car maxes at 135, well thats the fastest ive got it up to) so i hit my flashers and started braking an he kept going, he must have hit 160+ cause he got out of sight an i was still going 110
