Kind of a newb when it comes to tuning. I have a question regarding XML definitions specifically between Tephramod V5 and V7.

Background: My girlfriend's Evo failed emissions because all the readiness monitors where set to ready. I downloaded the image for her ROM (ID 94170015) but my definitions are not allowing me to access all the information on the ROM. I believe it was tuned using V5 by a well known tuner in my area but am not certain of that.

Question: If I download the V7 definitions will they work for previous versions of Tephra and if not how can I identify what version was used to tune the car? Do the definitions build on the previous version of Tephra or are they independent of one another due to changing addresses?

Hi Evom Fan. I've just add in patch rom 96531706 to my JDM Evo 8 mr ( 3 ecu pin ). Everything goes fine. Smooth running. My problem is now at the Launch Control, seems doesn't work at all even setting in Global Launch map were there. Setting that I made is, Launch Hi Octane Fuel Map , Launch Hi Octane Ignition Map , Launch-Map TPS Threshold : 40% , Launch-Map Speed Threshold : 4 MPH, event I add in -17 retard at Launch Hi Octane Ignition Map from RPM 5250 to 6000 from Load 10 to end map, the Launch still not holding the RPM of 5500. I've tried to search the forum for xml or Hex sample map for me to patch and tyr, but most of the topic discussed without solution. I really need help here.tq

Hi there, I was using 9417 before, but the problem with that is :
1: My Immobilizer is not functioning, even I've copied all Hex code and changed the setting follow to stock.

2- My Cold Start, I've adjust as at below, but when I test that next morning, the increasing at 1600 rpm at only 2 second and then back to normal idle even though the engine temp is still under 60'C.

3- My Launch Control.
It's seem that the launch control is only happens not at always as we need.
Sometimes the Lunch hold at RPM5500 is ok, and sometimes it doesn't lock at RPM 5500
I did adjust the ignition , retard timing at -17, but does not work correctly.
4- Jitter issue at closed 2000 rpm and sometimes at 4000 rpm

Someone told me that 9417 has this kind a problem, and he advise me to try 9653.

Can you help me ? which one is really compatible with my Evo

 

Anyone have issues with the "Injector Cranking Enrichment IPW (Main)" table with 94171715? No matter what values I put here, whether the whole table is zero'd or has relatively huge values, my injector pulse-widths during cranking are unchanged. Need to get these to respond to get e-85 starts in check...

Did you lower your injector scaling? This needs to be lowered since you need more E85 than regular gas.

Does anyone have a JDM Evo8 (96260009) Tephra ROM i can have?
