It won't just be a missing FET though, all the support circuitry for driving it and for OBD diagnostics will also be missing.
Should be on pin 53

Thanks Biggiesacks

Traced out Pin 53 on my lancer board.

The first stop is a Via

Then unpopulated D57, which I assume is a protection diode.

Following the Via to the other side of the board.

Then it runs into unpopulated IC32

Again this is a Lancer board, it's missing a bunch of stuff compared to my Evo board.

My evo ECU is in my car so I pulled up some pics from a different thing I was researching (So IGNORE the red circles) and these components are populated. What FOLLOWS are pictures from My Evo ECU (USDM 2003 Evo 8).

You can see from the picture D57 is populated, and the trace leads back to Pin 53 as with the lancer board.

On the other side you can see IC32 is also populated.

These are just pictures though, I don't have the board free to trace it back all the way to the controller. So there could be an interruption somewhere further up the chain. That doesn't seem very likely if they went to the trouble of populating D57. Based on the OEM circuit wiring diagrams, it doesn't seem to me like pin 53 has been reused for some other purpose, so it looks like it should work.

Thanks Biggie,

I have a blown E7 ecu laying around (same as in the car now). Will post up some pictures of it in couple of hours. Let's see if I am able to trace the circuit further!

See pictures above, D57 and IC32 are in place

Haha, yes trasnsitor Q11 misses 2 of its legs collector and emitter. Traced it to pin44 which is not in use but wont put something like that in a evo :P

Did you add IC32 to the PCB or are you talking about the Mosfet for ALS/SAS?

The JDM Evo 7's came with the SAS hardware, and the ECU's seem like they have the necessary components on the PCB, therefore I'd say it's a ROM issue. This Floppyz guy is talking about a Euro Evo IX, which I'd wager didn't have the JDM SAS hardware and therefore the ECU had a different PCB.

True! I already started with making dissemblys of the v5.10 and V7 ROMs but so far haven't found any differences yet.

Yes i'm talking about ALS hardware that miss mosfet in GSR EDM evo 9.

My advice is to test if in your ecu card there are that mosfet linked to pin 53.
bye

Also mosfet need his "free wheel" diode.
The mosfet on pict a see above is a double mosfet and is different from the one I write before. but anyway you can read the code on other mosfet and copy that.
