I don't know now, and what you saw goes along with what the dissassembly says, as the chunk of 255s should make the car richer in that area so setting to 128 should make the car more lean.

My car went from 20:1 AFRs to 16:1 by eliminating that chunk of 255s.

WTF is all I have to say.

Unless it has something to do with some other settings that are different, maybe emissions periphery related?

Well, your first statement seems correct lol. Setting them to 128 definitely leaned it out a lot. Back to 255 richened it back up again.

As for any other periphery's, I have just the usual candidates turned off like the rear o2 and whatever else was disabled on the rom from the start. I know my VE tables are quite a bit different than yours, so maybe that has a little to do with it too.

Just a quick question to see if anyone else gets this or not, when cruising on the highway under 3500 rpm I can let off the throttle and see the injectors cut out on my wideband (like normal). However, any time I'm over 3500 rpm and let off my afr's drop to 12:1 and hang there until the rpm drops below 3500. Is this just the way 9653 is setup differently from 9417? Or did I miss something with a decel rpm limit?

I've noticed erratic decel fuel cut that I never had on 94170015. Most of the time it will cut right away, other times it will fuel cut after several seconds or more.

I've never tried to track it down to a relation to anything though.

I'll check it out and see if it seems to be related to an RPM switch point.

On mine it's definitely RPM related. I'll try a few tables and see if any adjustments helps out, I think it's more related to the type of rom as 9417 never did it to me like this.

Honestly, I may have just never noticed it.

With the solid hub clutch and solid rear diff mount, I notice it now because the car doesn't make the terrible coast down noise when ever fuel doesn't get cut.

Well, I hate to bring this back up in the thread since it's been covered quite a bit, but this one's going to be a real PITA for me as it warms up.

Ambient temps the past 2 days have been about 25* warmer than they have been when I did the majority of my fuel tuning. Driving around today I see EVERYTHING leaning out...badly. My throttle tip-in is leaner than usual, my full throttle won't go below 12.7afr at 24psi, and my initial throttle tip-in is bouncing up to 18:1afr on a take off.

I've always been under the assumption that colder weather makes the car lean out (as it always did with the maf), not warmer weather. What gives? is my IAT input inverted somehow? I know that an adjustment of that table in some form will take care of all these stupid warm ambient lean out issues, but I can't even see the full table or the scaling since it's so large. Is this the main reason why the rom was originally set up to use the Fuel Temp ADC instead of the maf plug input?

If anyone has any info, please let me know...I don't want to have to retune the entire SD map again since it took me almost 3 months to get it perfect lol.

*Edit: Everything's fixed, had a virus on my laptop when I was doing my reflashing and tuning.

Can we get some people to start posting their final tuned numbers for the tables ? I want to be able to compare mine with something when i finally get my setup together and maybe it will give us all a comparison or trend to look at. Would be helpful to label evo VIII or IX

Don't forget to make sure you mention your car, mods, fuel, etc. when you post up your tables...

Mods are as follows:

stock block/head/intake manifold
ported exhaust manifold, ported stock turbo with 10.5 housing, ebay o2 housing modded for open dump wastegate, HKS 272 cams, ETS 3.5" FMIC, Nisei UICP/LICP, IX metal diverter valve, 3" HKS DP, 3" HKS exhaust, 3" test pipe, stock injectors, walbro 255lph pump, 3" custom made intake pipe and open filter, Omni 4 Bar MAP sensor and GM IAT sensor.
Controlled through the stock boost control solenoid with gear dependent boost settings, set to 28psi with a slight taper to 25psi in 5th gear. Leanspool is still active.

Initial throttle tip-in sits at 15.3-15.8, after that tip-in drops to 13.8 while cruising. Solid 14.6-15.3 afr during cruising with LTFT Low and Mid sitting within the +/-5% range at all times.

I also forgot to post in those tables that I adjusted the main fuel map richer between 20-80% load range to help out with throttle cross-over and tip-in, and adjusted the throttle cross-over point down just a tad too. Hope this helps some.

Within the next few weeks I'll be going much larger on the turbo/injectors, roughly 68lb/min on the compressor and 1000cc injectors. If anything changes on the MAP VE table I'll post that up too, but I really only see the RPM VE changing at most, and I might just adjust the little changes through the MAF scaling tables instead since it only affects the IPW.

No problems at all here.

(Full disclosure, though: I have a phenolic spacer, and my EGR is blocked at the head.)

I want to be clear before i dig in lol...

You guys are only adjusting the Map VE and RPM VE tables correct ? The other 100 tables are not messed with ?
