Fix3 seemed to be an improvement over no fixes at all, but IMO fix2 works better than fix3, as you still get a noticable jitter in the 2000-2500 rpm range.

I encourage others to try this so we have feedback from more than just me. I can post some IPW logs if need be, but I feel like I can pick out this issue pretty easily now. Thx again for the continued digging .

Fix 3 has worked the best for me. Tried it out on my way to class today and everything is smooth including when the engine is cold.

I just tried both fix 2 and 3. Both seemed very similiar. I wasnt logging to be actually able to tell if there is a difference in IPW values. I had no jutter either way. I left fix 3 in it since its the latest and greatest LOL J/K.

Ok, I've left fix #1 for long enough, time to try out #2. Here's my input on fix 1.

The reason I never saw any type of leaning out with low to mid throttle loads was because I had my TPS Delta set way too rich. I lowered it down this morning before heading to work, and immediately saw what mrfred mentioned. It also feels like timing is being pulled down low, although according to the logs at <3000rpm steady cruising I still have ~34* timing advance. It honestly does not feel like it though, and it definitely had a better torque curve with no fix added in. Also I noticed that when the car was cold it ran smooth, and when I thought the car was warm enough (the temp gauge moved to about 1/8" below the middle of the gauge) to hit boost, it started breaking up...really bad too. Once the car fully warmed up, then the boost transition and all the way through the rpm range was smooth again.

Tomorrow I'll try out fix #2 and get some logs of that.

Tried fix #2 for a couple days here to see how it reacted, and honestly it's just as smooth as #1 without any kind of lethargic feeling when getting on the throttle at low rpm. I still get a small bit of leaning out, but hopefully some minor TPS Delta and throttle crossover can take care of that. The initial tip-in is a tad bit leaner than usual, but I'll see what I can do for that as well, and still not as lean as fix #1 had been.

Looking forward to hearing how fix3 works. Once I get a input from a few more people, I'll revise the SD patch.

Not that I think the 9417 is that bad (and in talking to my guys here running it) or does it really at all, have we looked for the IPW stuff for that ROM? The other thing that affects cold running cruise is the Max AFR rich vs coolant. This is defined for the IX but is apparently either not there or hasnt been found in the VIII roms. This makes a HUGE difference in how the car cruises especially if the O2 feedback is off.

I suppose I'll have to work out all the tables for the 94170015.

I don't think that table has been documented in 96530006 either?

Has anyone else had a chance to try out the three different fixes? Should I make all three fises available for the 8859 and 9417 so more people can test them to see which works best?
