This is the first time I've used evoscan on my new laptop. It runs Vista.

I can read ROMs via ecuflash.

I reinstalled evoscan v2.6 and it logged no issues. But then when i stopped it and tried to log again, it would connect and immediately disconnect.

This is the message I am getting:

So I don't understand what that means. But it logged successfully the first time. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I keep getting this same message.

Okay, so upon further investigation, it only disconnects me if I try to log with my AEM UEGO.

Logging without External Wideband works just fine.

But like I said before, initially when I logged for the first time with this computer earlier this morning, EVERYTHING logged beautifully, to include the wideband.

But now it doesn't want to work with the wideband. I've tried two different laptops with two different OS, including XP and Vista.

 

Okay another update.

I've tried the UEGO with my old laptop running v2.5. Everything logs EXCEPT wideband. I'm just not getting any signal.

It does the same thing when I use my new laptop running v2.7b5. Same thing.

I've tried reinstalling drivers for my Keyspan.

Strange thing is, nothing has changed since my last days of logging back in May. I haven't touched the connections or the ground for the serial output. Even trying to use my old laptop where everything worked perfectly, this thing still wont either read the output or the AEM won't output.

So I guess next on the list is to physically check the ground again. And then possibly purchase a new serial to USB adapter.

 

UPDATE:

I managed to find a copy of FULLv2.5.

I installed onto my new Vista laptop.

Everything works perfectly now. Been able to make multiple logs with UEGO logging properly.

There you have it.

 

Are you running through a usb-serial converter? Evoscan 2.6 seems to have a problem with Vista USB stuff. It is fixed in evoscan 2.7 betas but after the first couple of betas (1-3 I think) other issues are introduced which at least for me caused issues with loggin load. It sounds like v2.7 will be released soon.

 

I hate Vista, because of that windows I sold my Lap top and got myself a little 11.5 inch Acer note book that comes with XP and works the best

It only works for me with v2.5.

I am using a Keyspan for serial to USB.

But like I said, everything works beautifully with v2.5

Now its COM port access denied issues with the WB. No matter what COM port, access denied.

I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling everything and rebooting.

so it seems to be working. a little fidgetting.

v2.7b5 replaced my keyspan with a gigaware from radio shack.

works for now. hopefully until im done tuning

 

Yup everything STOPPED working together again.

Back to square one.

 

Im having issues logging with v2.6 and my Innovate Lc-1.... I am also gettting almost no response to my thread. So many people use Evo scan but no one seems to want to help or know how to help.... weird.

Quick question for your...Where did you find the older version of evo scan? Also where did you find the beta versions? When I purchases the license I didnt have a choice to what version.

I still had the install folder for v2.5 on my XP laptop. I copied it over to my Vista to install it. The beta can be found in this link in the first post, after the first three pics.
