We need a log or 3 to see exactly whats going on. If we knew where 2 byte load was going that would help. Too many variables at this time to make a 100% accurate decision, however its obvious that some stuff needs addressed. There are some good E85 timing maps up. I posted one awhile ago for a 475whp e85 car on a 57 trim. At 28psi it was knock free and not near MBT. That car was also on 1200s and the IDC were only 83% on the EvoScan scale (it goes to 115% not the normal 80-100%).
Shouldn't MBT change significantly in a 2.3 Stroker?

My Hyperforce is currently on the fritz and even at a .020 gap I am having some random break up. Just little tugs and millisecond of lost power randomly at full throttle in 3rd and 4th, which is why I ask.

I wouldnt say significantly but it will change a few degrees. If nothing else my E85 map I referred to was really pretty tame so it can be used a 2.0 ready to go or a good starting point on a 2.2/2.3l

my car is on stock ignition. No hyperforce or HKS DLI.
it was dynoed using dynapack.
I just did a datalog and I am now certain that my car hit fuel cut on those WOT runs.
and as you guys said, I am getting a lot of knock because of the loussy timing maps.

I just sent Aaron at english racing my log file and ROM for him to take a look. Thanks alot btw!

379.68 2 byte load clip, disable the Load Cut and it should be back to normal. Rescale your map so you are actually on the map as well. Right now you are WAY off the map to the left at peak boost.

Aaron, how do I disable Load Cut? I'm new to tuning with Ecuflash.
another question, so that loadMUT2byte IS the load value on the ROM fuel map and ignition map?
the maps are now only scaled to 300, and should be rescaled?
Thanks

I felt that the amount of boost i can run before misfiring gets lower and lower.
This happens alomst all the time now during WOT 3rd gear up at about 5000rpm. lower rpms at higher gear. 4500rpm at 4th. This is only approximate.
it is usually fine at 1st and 2nd gear

I am using BR8EIX iridium plugs gapped at .015 now. It was fine with this .015 before. no misfire, but over time, the misfire comes back.
Attached are my fuel map and ignition map.
Please help!! Thanks a bunch!

Anthony

Definately boost cut. I just went through this with my car. Went through all variables with ignition and nothing fixed it. Similar scenarios as you would cause it. Look at injector duty cycle in your logs. I'll bet you will see the IPW drop to zero at the same time the event happens. On my car it ended up lifting the head, blowing a head gasket and damaging a rod bearing after repeated events while trying to track it down. Do not continue to drive it until you alter your Boost cut time delay in your ROM. Raise to a min or better and you will find that your "misfire" is gone.

The log at 5031rpm (after the shift apparently) shows exactly this, right after it hit 378 load.

Hi JohnBradley,

Is this the car/tune you were speaking of? https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/7480198-post18.html

Man, looking through the "post your timing maps" thread is really nostalgic with all those tiny maps
