PM'd regarding my hardness
To those who've had their's already, how do you do the tuning? as the stuff I've read so far says that you keep the MAF connected until the tune is done and then remove it?
Thanks
Andy

Once you load SD then the ecu looks to the map+Iat vs the maf. I guess you keep it connected just incase you're having a hard tine tuning and need to flash back to a maf based rom.
This thread explains the tuning process very well: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...ched-roms.html

I will be using this harness connected to the MAF connector so won't be able to have the MAF connected, also is there some where in the xml to specify where the ECU should be getting the MAP and IAT temp from, as again mine will be conected through this cable and not wired to the ecu seperately?

yes I understand that, but do you have to change a setting in the ECU to tell it to get the MAP sensor from the MAF pins instead of the pin the it normally connects too....

The tuning aspect is getting a bit OT. Probably better to start a new thread or read up on the existing threads.
i've read the tuning posts, but was wondering how "plug and play" this is, I'm still going to buy one just wondered if there was anything that needed changing in the ecu to get it to "work". Or it just connect it up with the MAP and IAT sensors and your away?? (the only reason I ask is the other threads talk about the MAF still being connected) I think I may help sell more knowing that if you just connect it up your good to go.

Thats just it... you arent just connect and good to go. This makes it easier to "just connect" and start the tuning process. Instead of running lines, tapping into the ECU etc.... you connect, and begin tuning your car on SD (after you flash over to the SD version of your Rom)
