Im starting to think its my wastegate as well... I rolled the windows down, turned off the radio, and it sorta sounds like a metallic "flutter", different from the sound of the intake spoolin... Its quite noticable in higher gears/low load, as well.

since Im not gonna be happy till my car is running v7, (again) used my girls laptop and uninstalled everything, used the "revo" started all over from a stock v.7 rom, set up new .xmls threw in the rom, and noticed the gears, (once again, reading off) w/ the rpm/speed/gear table I had come up w/ logging rpm_speed_gear_ratio... So for ****s and giggles, I decided to revert the map back to its stock form, from tephra, and what do you know?
Edit: changed the value for gear 6 to 1, since Im a 5 speed...
worked perfectly! IDK WTF is happening, as I had used that gear map on multiple roms (of mine), and worked perfect (@ the time) well, @ this point IDC who/what/where/when/why, but its seems to be working properly. for now...
Funny thing is, (on my laptop) evoscan installed perfectly w/ gear and rpm speed to gear already in the list... Well on her laptop, it did NOT! So logging rpm_speed_gear_ratio is not hapening! From my experience, if its not showing that its using "BOTH" requst ID's, its not gonna log correctly! And if you "manually" set it up, it will only show 1!
Im gonna continue to use her laptop, and see if I can keep a solid rom on the car...

 

I picked up an FP 18psi actuator.

WOW....a lot going on in those XMLs. Might take me some time to clean them up a bit.

 

u might need to delete the "modified" out of the name of the tephra .xml. when using it... (I did) Ya theres quite a few maps, and I got a lil lazy making the defs "perfect" looking, but should work flawlessly... LMK.

 

bump from the dead .... I have just installed a 3 port on my 8 and for the love of god no matter what i do to the boost maps i get a flutter during WOT as boost builds the flutter happens but it dosnt effect the boost any cule in what i could do ?

 

Could be a tuning issue. I just fixed all my boost leaks and ran shorting piping now my ported OEM IX Turbo Surges like a **** at partial throttle in 4-6 gears. If I back off or give it more gas it stops but I am certain it could be just poor tuning as my car was tuned with these leaks now I don't have any.
