Did you forget to change the 'Map Output (Volts)' [left side] values under the "Map Scaling" table? I have accidentally forgotten to adjust this once and my car felt like it wanted to stall out.

Im using rom 94170008... theres no "map scaling table" that was suppose to be copy into the xml.

Oh, I wasn't aware of the rom you were using and for some reason I was thinking you had an Evo 9. Why don't you try running the V7 Tephra and use 96530706. I was under the impression that the 96530706 V7 rom works for all Evo 8's. See if it works and fixes the idle problems, the 96530706 is already set up for PSI Based boost control with the JDM Map Sensor.

i dont want to make the move to another rom yet until i need to. Im just using the JDM map sensor to log boost. i just want to figure this out and why is it having these issues. If i cant find a soulution to the idle problems and stalls, im just gonna put the 1-bar back in.

Well even though you dont wanna move to another ROM, you should.

94170008 was the first revision of the 9417 family. You should upgrade to 94170015, as it is the most current ROm of that family.

Also you can PM me and i can help get you JDM map and idle working together.
