What is this?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9S7ku...=youtube_gdata

I couldn't control my boost so I did leak test and found a rip in one of the boost lines. So I put it all back together and did another test and no leaks. But now this. What the heck is it?

What is intake snorkel? The bov was on backwards at one time but now its correct. How can I test if the bov is malfunctioning?

The ram-air vent that clips to the unibody and directs air to the stock airbox. If it is not properly secured it can collapse against the hood and cut off air flow.

O yeah that. Well I hope its not that since it's no longer installed.

I don't think its BOV related the problem just sounds like missfire to me. Check your plugs wires and gaps.

Good luck on your problem

That had crossed my mind. But I never got a CEL not even pending codes for misfire. The plugs are new and the magnecor wires. I have heard bad things about those wires. I throw the stockers back on.

Here's a clip for comparrision sounds like my red surging a little at low rpm in high gear @ 40 seconds. This video has a pretty good clip for the turbo right at the surge line.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-t5qV...eature=related

Second video of just plain flutter where the BOV is just slightly tight on lift off.

Since your car doesn't really make these noises i'm prone to assume its ignition related or perhaps fuel related if its overly rich/lean where the plugs will not ignite the mixture.

Is there something I can check in my logs to see if its ignition related? In the video i posted i was probably about 60 - 70 % throttle. If i go wot it does the same thing and then i get fuel cut. At about 4000 rpm my boost limit is 270 and i get about 270. That seems kind of high for my mod list doesn't it. My desired boost is about 21 at 4000 and im getting 23 almost 24 psi. Is it possible my wastegate isn't opening and the boost is over powering the bov? What would that sound like?

When i overran my stock BOV it didn't sound like anything really the boost just was stuck at 26psi no matter how hard i pushed the turbo. I don't recommend pushing the turbo too much with that scenario

You could see if you are hitting fuel cut and getting IPW dropping to 0 when the problem happens. If the IPW is good then it should be ignition related.

Here is a snippet of my log if anyone wants to try and find something. It looks like the IPW is fine during the duration of the pulls. At the very end it does get funny, but i did get a fuel cut then. Is it normal for ignition problems not to throw CEL's?

thats def not flutter or surge so u can rule those out.. did you do another leak test? it really sounds like a misfire...
what psi are u doing ur leak test at? should be 5psi over what u boost

haha from :16 sec to :19 sec it sounds like a beat..

Took a look at those logs pretty interesting its not picking up the missfire as knock generally my knock sensor went crazy when i had bad plugs. Looks like missfire in the logs too no ipw drop outs until fuel cut.

Did notice something way out of the ordinary though. Your wastegate duty correctly table must be wrong since its adding WDC when its above the load target, thats the boost error correction table. Looks like the target load is around 220kPa in this log.

Man, this is getting even more confusing. Back when all of this started after I converted to ecu based boost control. I set my wgdc to all 0's and I was still overboosting then. Then I did a leak test and found a hole in the line coming from the compressor before the pill. After fixing that is when i made the vid and then i found a leak in the throttle body shaft. I fixed that then i proceeded to clean off the "Black Stuff" from the throttle body". Apparently that was supposed to be there since it idles like crap now. But thats a separate issue

Now... I ordered a 3port so i could get rid of the pill and hopefully solve my problem. It seems like that will be unsuccessfull. I hope its something as simple as those FREAKIN magnecor wires.
