ok so i have the old 1.3 tactrix cable and it doesnt work with the newest ecuflash software, anyone know where i can find an older version to download that works with the 1.3 cable? or if theres any other solutions id be more than happy to hear them. im just tryin to set the stationary rev limiter. thanks

 

It should work. What version of ECUFlash are you running? I have version 1.42 I believe, and utilize a 1.3 tactrix.

It will work with the newest versions...I ran into the same issue...

After a bit of diag, I came to the conclusion it was the cable itself. Come to find out later, it was the laptop itself.

Long story short...wiped computer, started over with new OS, everything works perfect.

 

so how do i find out which of those is difective? this is a new lap top, and im sure u guys all know dan from washington? hes letting me borrow the cable, and he said it works, and he knows it works cuz hes used it, i plugged everything into my car, installed the newest version of ecuflash, pluggeed the cable in, started ecuflash, and after i pick 2003 evolution it says cant connect

 

Good luck. This seems to be a trend for some. Here's a thread with people with the same problems. I had the same problem. I tried uninstalling everything, then reinstalling. No luck. Ended up having to buy a used 1.3 cable and it worked 1st time.

did a lot more searching, found 1.29 and worked perfectly if anyone else had issues using cable 1.3 with ecuflash use this ecuflash it works

Just as an FYI if you really bought the cable from tractrix the reason the cable wont work is the key stored inside the cable isn't the correct number of digits. Email tactrix with your receipt and they can give you instructions how to change the key in the cable to work with the new software.

Apparently they did this to stop cable clones from being made by other sources.
