Big maps-too big
I noticed a bug with the load. I hit about 440 load at the max and i have modified the rom to with the (set to 9 to remove load limit) patch and in a bunch of areas the load just goes from reading normal to "0" or "3" or "8.5" "34" etc.. what causes this? Its just the logging, because the car doesn't do anything bad when it occurs.
you probably have it set to 1.7, but you need 1.8
Sorry, but you are wrong.
The problem with too much resolution is that the timing advance resolution sucks.
If we had 0.5 degree timing advance increments, it would be fine, but being limited to 1 degree increments pretty much eliminates the reasoning for anything smaller the 500 RPM increments in much of the map. The increase in load axis though, particularly on the MAF is a bonus without a doubt on the VIII ECU.
Tephra, no worries man. The added resolution is awesome and will be a true benefit to the community. Thank you.

That's my point though, if you leave the stock resolution, you don't have to eat that 0.5 degree. The ECU just interpolates automatically at the mid point. Either way, we can simply agree to disagree.
Point remains though, the extra resolution is a good thing in that the tuner can set it up as they wish.
Myself, I will just use it to extand the range and tune the stock range since I'm not reving higher then stock. Trying to setup 250 RPM increments with the added resolution was a huge mistake though and using the stock resolution provides better driveability and is plenty fine enough to make the power smooth.
