I have to see 2 SD cars even with same mods work identical. I have some that have been really close (probably close enough to leave) but nothing exact. We even did a clone of my 2.0L stock motor (well tune I mean) and it made the same power at the same boost and timing, but the map wasnt 100% the same.

Not when running its just the start up routine that requires its existence really. A baro setting too high in high altitude would cause rich start issues and so on.

At least that's my understanding of this mess

I don't know about that. Last month I sent a SD "base" flash to a customer that was driving from Socal to our shop in Norcal.

Was a built 2.3, HTA3586, 1000cc. etc

Drove over 300 miles to the shop without issue. Of course I told him not to go WOT.

That said, I would never do a email tune for SD as it really needs alot of tweaking in controlled environment to get it really dialed in.
